Veterans Memorial Museum couldn’t have selected a better home! No other destination wears its patriotism as proudly as Branson, Missouri; it’s an authentic and sincere reverence for, and an appreciation of, the men and women who’ve unselfishly served our country in every branch of the military.
As part of Branson’s many attractions, featured through Branson Show Tickets, this museum stands out as a meaningful stop for visitors of all ages. The Museum honors these heroes with more than 2,000 exhibits that commemorate the American soldier and their sacrifices while serving in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and more recent conflicts.
Veterans Memorial Museum is the heartfelt vision of renowned bronze sculptor, Fred Hoppe, who personally collected thousands of items that were put on display when the facility opened. Many items and exhibits have since been added as veterans and their families have loaned or donated items to the 18,000 square foot museum.
Returning visitors will be thrilled to discover that Fred Hoppe’s stunning sculpture of 50 soldiers storming a beach (each represents an actual soldier) is back from storage and on display in front of the museum. Another of Hoppe's inspirational sculptures was purchased by the City of Branson; it now resides in the Memorial Garden at the corner of Highway 76 and Roark Valley Road for everyone to see as they enter Branson’s famous Strip.
The displays at Veterans Memorial Museum can be found in ten great halls, each covering a war or conflict fought. You’ll discover sculptures, artifacts, murals, memorabilia, and pieces of art thoughtfully arranged to tell the stories behind each item. A moving and emotional highlight of your visit is sure to be the names displayed on the walls of the halls; the actual names of soldiers killed in action during WWII, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and other 20th century conflicts.
Helpful Hints/Additional Information
- Veterans Memorial Museum is located at 1250 West 76 Country Boulevard.
- The museum is open:
- March thru December 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Mon thru Sat, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm every Sunday and, closed on Christmas day. Closes at 3 pm on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
- January thru February Monday thru Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. It closes at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
- Tours of the museum are self-guided.
- Both still and video photography is permitted while in the museum, but please be respectful of the displays by not touching or disturbing items.
- There is a gift shop on-site.
- Veterans Memorial Museum is appropriate for all ages, but it’s best that youngsters be accompanied by an adult to help them best understand the displays and their importance to our history.
Displays in the museum include uniforms, medals, musical instruments, weapons, letters, paintings, and a wide variety of other items that all come together to tell stories...stories of soldiers on the ground and in the air...stories of medics and nurses who struggled to patch wounds and save lives...stories of POWs, some who came home and others who made the ultimate sacrifice.

ABSOLUTE MUST if you like military history or even just want to kill some time. Easy parking, friendly staff, and loads of cool military stuff from WW1-OIF/OEF.

Service and museum was great. Went with my brother and my dad who was in the air force. We didn't even think to say it at the time but we should have thanked the man working here for his service. He was so nice and i believe was a Marine. The museum is absolutely filled with information. You can spend quite a bit of time here if you read everything. Very interesting stories and information. I consider myself a huge ww2 history buff but I still learned a lot here.

Wow, what a great museum! The place was laid out very nicely and had a large amount of different displays from ww1 to current times. This was a very educational place for the children. They learned quite a bit while we were here.

Quiet, powerful, and deeply moving—Veterans Memorial Museum in Branson is a must-visit for history lovers. We visited the Veterans Memorial Museum in Branson, MO as part of a combo deal from the Branson Show website, which included tickets to three museums when you purchase select attractions like the circus show. It was an incredible value and gave us access to a truly meaningful experience. 🇺🇸 The museum is quiet and contemplative, offering a respectful tribute to American veterans across major 20th-century conflicts—World War I & II, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, with authentic uniforms, medals, weapons, letters, and personal stories that bring history to life. 🕊️ One of the most powerful features is the wall of names honoring fallen soldiers. It’s humbling and emotional, especially when viewed in the peaceful atmosphere of the museum. Our daughters were moved by the stories and asked thoughtful questions—proof that history here is accessible and impactful for all ages. 📍 Located on West 76 Country Boulevard, it’s close to other attractions but feels tucked away from the hustle. Staff were kind, and everything was clean and well-organized. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) A quiet gem in Branson that honors sacrifice and invites reflection.
